Blending Japanese and English with effortless ease, the five-track project draws from bossa nova, R&B, and indie pop, capturing the quiet emotions and fleeting moments hidden within everyday life.
From the gentle rush of seeing the familiar world through new eyes in m A g i C to the lingering echoes of loss in HALO, each song explores a different shade of emotion while leading back to a single place of comfort.
The title nook refers to a small, cozy corner, a place where you can simply exist.

ruca
Blending indie pop, neo-soul, and alternative R&B, ruca turns the small emotions and everyday scenes of life into warm, playful sounds. Her music feels nostalgic yet slightly mysterious, easy to listen to, yet leaving a lasting impression in unexpected moments. Through her music, she captures the subtle feelings and fleeting scenes that quietly stay with you. Rooted in classical piano, ruca spent her teenage years in Canada, where she was exposed to a wide range of music and cultures that helped shape her unique style. Now based in Tokyo, she continues to write, record, and perform as a singer-songwriter. In 2025, she released her debut album, RUPHORIA. She later released the EP nook, a collection of songs inspired by the quiet, in-between feelings of everyday life.
