Originally released in 1982 as the second single from WEEKIDS, Water Color gained national attention as the soundtrack to a Pentax TV commercial, accompanied by a memorable image of a whale's tail. Its translucent melody and gentle atmosphere left a lasting impression on many listeners.

The song later inspired the name of Yusuke Nakamura's own recording space, "Watercolor Studio." This version was re-recorded there in the early 2000s, featuring legendary keyboardist Hidemi Sakashita from the progressive rock band Yonin Bayashi, adding a fresh layer to the original soundscape.

Once available only on vinyl, Water Color is now being released digitally for the very first time-more than 40 years after its debut. A timeless blend of nostalgia and renewal, this is a perfect moment to rediscover Water Color.
