Artist Profile

  • Genji Kinoshita

    Born in Tokyo in 1964. Following the nuclear accident in Fukushima in 2011, he moved to Fukuoka with his family in July 2012. Genji is in charge of songwriting all songs for the rock band "Tokyo Local Honk" as well as singing and playing guitar for the band.Tokyo Local Honk has been known and highly regarded as a musician's musician since the original band name "Uzumaki".So far, four albums have been announced. Genji is also developing solo activities and session activities in addition to the band. There are not a few fans of his unique sound expression on "Hikigatari",a style of solo playing and singing with his guitar.It has a different charm from when playing in the band.Recently, he has contributed music, participated in contemporary poetry events, and also workshops at elementary schools. The first solo album "natural fool" was released on December 3, 2015.In 2020, the second solo album "NOSSO NOISE" will be released."NOSSO NOISE" is an instrumental album,and he played all instruments.
