LA LA LA LA LA LA LA

LA LA LA

    Life (2025)

    Qaijff

Qaijff's new album "TEN," their first in 10 months, digitally releases on October 10th.

It contains 7 tracks total, including "Grab the Summit," the official support song for J.League club Nagoya Grampus' 2025 season.

Beyond "Grab the Summit," the album showcases Qaijff's broad musicality and identity through tracks like the Tokai Labor Bank TV CM song "go together," the Tokai Plant Engineering TV CM song "Spark (feat. Katsuya Takeuchi)," the stage play "Transfer Student AH" theme song "But Still Human (band set)," and the movie "See Through" theme song "YOU SEE?"

This release stands out for its emotional melodies and rich dynamic range throughout. Pay special attention to vocalist Mori's soaring high-pitched vocals, sung with a raw intensity, and Akihiko Uchida's bass playing, which moves freely and dynamically across the soundscape.

Qaijff's songs, which are a mixture of various genres of music centered around piano sounds, have a high level of musicality and originality. Since their formation, they have been in charge of various TV theme songs, such as the TV anime "Inuyashiki", the TV anime "Shin Chuka Ichiban!", and the NHK information program "Sarasara Salad". For 10 years from 2016 to the present, they have been in charge of the official support song for the J-League team "Nagoya Grampus". Their 2023 song "Tagitte Shikatanai Wa" has exceeded 1 million views on TikTok. Their 2024 song "Pride" won first place on the ZIP-FM official chart "ZIP-HOT100". The song "Catch the Top" in 2025, which will be the 10th year since they were in charge, is used as the music for the player introduction before the game. The full album [YOKU] released in December 2024 has captured the hearts of many listeners not only in Japan but also overseas, and won the first place in the "Top J-POP Album" of iTunes Store Brazil. They are also active in live performances, and their style that does not depend on the composition has attracted attention. In 2021, they will hold a large-scale orchestra concert with about 50 people. Japan's leading musician Saito Neko will participate as conductor, and the members themselves will also handle the orchestra arrangement. The solo tour "Proud-2024-" held in the summer of 2024, which they took on as a piano trio, was sold out for all dates. Their passionate live performances have captured the hearts of a wide range of fans. Vocalist Mori Ayano, who graduated from the piano department of a music university, has won numerous piano competitions. In 2021, she will also launch her own apparel brand "I don't want to be someone". She is currently a personality on ZIP-FM's podcast program "Big Five - Who am I? Psychological Chat". In 2023, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and in the same year she took a break from live performances to prioritize her treatment, but in 2024 she made a full comeback to live performances. Abema, Tokai TV, CBC TV, and other media outlets closely covered her positive attitude as she underwent treatment, which moved many women of her generation. Bassist Akihiko Uchida produces music in a wide range of fields, including commercial music under his own name, musical direction for stage productions, stadium music production for professional sports teams, and collaborative music production with the professional orchestra "Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra". In recent years, he has also been actively involved in composing music for movies and TV dramas, and has been involved in many popular works, such as the 2024 movie "Return of the Dangerous Detective," the 2024 TV Tokyo drama "Mass-Produced Rico - The Life of the Last Plastic Model Girl," the 2024 TV Asahi drama "Aoshima-kun is Mean," and the 2025 TV Tokyo drama "Tonight... Junretsu."
