Following their restart in April, DANI is already set to release their 3rd new single, "WAGAMAMA", on July 8, 2026.
This track starts with a catchy bass phrase and unfolds into a rhythmic four-on-the-floor drum beat. With quirky guitar phrases scattered throughout, it is meticulously crafted into a minimal sound where "the exact right sound plays in the right place." Layered with lyrics exploring the theme of "what is evil," echoing the previous release "COUNTUP," and DANI's languid vocals, the track exudes a one-of-a-kind worldview.
The inner conflicts and outer struggles we face in life. By leaning too much toward either insensitivity or sensitivity, one realizes that "anyone can become 'evil'." Even amidst such chaos, what is truly precious is always close by. Yet, sometimes we end up lashing out at those precious people with words completely opposite to our true feelings.
It might be easy to dismiss this as mere "wagamama" (selfishness), but perhaps it is also a form of awkward "love." This is the latest release from DANI, vividly capturing these complex emotions.
