The 10th release in 12-month consecutive release project,
"Iroha" portrays the poise and quiet resolve of those who live through their craft.
Using the motif of the geisha, the song explores a way of artistry refined through fundamentals and repetition
a discipline embedded in every gesture and every detail of presentation.
Set to a groovy, edgy sound reminiscent of the 2000s,the track blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with a modern sensibility,expressed with a subtle sense of playfulness throughout.
"Shanari" and "batabata"
grace and urgency, stillness and motion
the lyrics capture the physical sensation of moving between these two extremes.
The hardship is kept unseen,
but the difficulty of the journey is fully understood.
Released in January, the beginning of a new year,
"Iroha" invites a return to origins,
presenting a stance that values steady foundations over flashy first steps.

TOKINE
TOKINE Singer-songwriter TOKINE began dancing as a child and discovered the joy of being on stage. From the age of 11, she studied vocal and gospel music in addition to dance in her hometown of Osaka, and has diverse roots in R&B, HIPHOP, DISCO, and GOSPEL. After moving her base of activities from Osaka to Tokyo, she made her major label debut with Victor Entertainment in 2017. In 2020, he started his career as an independent artist. She has released a series of original songs, ranging from catchy, neutral, and toxic works to sentimental pieces, skillfully using vocals, chorus, rap, and word sense. In addition to her musical activities as a singer-songwriter, she is also attracting attention as a model and fashion icon.
