The debut single FANANOMARI marks the launch of 6g Hexagram, serving as a defining track that embodies the units concept. While rooted in smoke culture, it goes far beyond being just another weed song, humorously and poetically portraying freedom, intoxication, and a sense of community found beyond the haze.
Playful wordplay and drifting metaphors like smoke itself are scattered throughout, as nimble flows intertwine with a dense sound design, guiding listeners into a festive realm above the clouds.
For 6g Hexagram, FANANOMARI is more than just a lead single it stands as a banner embodying both anonymity and the purity of music itself, a signal flare proving their very existence.
6gHexagram - a three-member unit rooted in Afro, Dancehall, and Reggae - is set to unveil a new musical style. Their 1st single Fananomari dropped on August 31, followed by their 1st E.P. release on November 15. The group consists of three enigmatic artists Asagarasu, a performer known for deep emotional expression Takidanuki, who weaves smoky, drifting vibes; and Black Sheep, the shadowy sound designer and producer controlling the sonic realm behind the scenes. All members maintain complete anonymity, performing as entirely new personas detached from their solo careers. During live shows, Asagarasu and Takidanuki perform wearing masks, while Black Sheep, who dominates the sound production, is said to soon make an appearance on stage. The units name, 6gHexagram (meaning Six-Pointed Star), symbolizes the intersection of light and shadow, reality and illusion - embodying the coexistence of opposites. Their concept lies in revealing the pure essence of music by obscuring individual identities. With their unmistakably unique worldview, 6gHexagram has already begun to attract attention both in Japan and overseas with their long-awaited debut E.P.
