Took a little drive this morning

Stopped by a place I saw on TV

For a seafood bowl they showed

Took a picture, posted it online

Wrote "Best meal I've had all year"

Got three likes before the afternoon

One of them was mine, I fear

I'm not trying to brag about it

Just hoping somebody notices

Somebody hear me out

It's really not a big deal

Maybe the seafood bowl was amazing

Maybe the crab soup hit me for real

None of that really matters

Just a little attention will do

Back then I had someone to talk to

Now my phone listens better than you

For lunch I tried that trendy ramen place

Waited forever in line

Ordered the giant bowl they showed on TV

Thought I'd be perfectly fine

Took a picture, posted it online

Wrote "Way too much!" with a grin

Couldn't even eat my dinner that night

But I'd probably do it again

It's not a bragging story

And I'm no food reviewer anyway

Somebody hear me out

Maybe you think ramen beats udon

Maybe soba's the better meal

None of that really matters

As long as I've got things to talk about

I guess I'm still making it through

When I stopped working years ago

I thought I'd finally slow down

Funny thing is now I've got too much time

And nothing much around

That's just the way life goes
