Kagon's second EP, "Elysian Horizon", takes its title from the image of "the horizon of paradise." Across six tracks, the EP explores memories and perceptions distorted by depression, the uncertain boundaries of the self, and philosophical questions surrounding the soul and human existence.
Rooted in alternative music, the record moves across electronic, future bass, and ballad influences, tracing an emotional journey from stagnation and loss toward acceptance and renewal. Featuring Hatsune Miku, Otomachi Una, Utane Uta, KAFU, Synthesizer V AI Riku, as well as Bathycaphe and Elias, the EP also includes Kagon's first work centered on human vocal performances.
From the one-measure vocal offset in "EMbeR" to its carefully crafted arrangements and sound design, "Elysian Horizon" embraces experimentation while remaining emotionally cohesive. It is an EP about carrying scars and memories forward, and finding the strength to take another step.
