There’s a call within my heart

And I set upon the way

This game of fate before me starts —

I’ll play it all anew today

Mysteries have come undone

The journey now has just begun

Prophecies and ancient lore

Turn to truth forevermore

Tell me, which Ithaca shall it be

To bring this need to me?

To find the love that hides inside

And shine like glass, purified

Tell me, which homeland shall arise

To bring back hope before my eyes?

In love I’ve seen — I realize

A new beginning’s in disguise

In the poem, I’m the poet’s hand

A sign, a message from the land

From the very first step I make

I leave my mark, my soul’s own wake

It feels to me like a beautiful lie

That spark within your eyes —

It stirs my blood, it wakes my skin

It makes my spirit sing again

Now with steps both firm and bright

I walk upon the thread of life

The rock breaks wave by wave apart

A cry turns glass — a work of art

Tell me, which Ithaca shall it be
