This is the second single release from Smooth Current, this time with a mid-tempo, relaxed beat with a nice guitar and piano.
DJ Ryow a.k.a. Smooth Current DJ/Trackmaker One of the most experienced DJs on the scene, he has participated in events across the world and performed with prominent artists. He supported the golden age of Hydeout Productions as the label's resident DJ, and has released a large number of mixes, including "Hydeout Sound Lab," the hit official mix co-produced by Nujabes, the Nujabes Tribute Mix, his own official mix, "Optical Axis" (Ultravibe), as well as HMV Shibuya&ONLINE's 10-year anniversary project, "Live@Somewhere." Also prolific as a track maker, he released the "GEMS EP" series and its expansion album, "Blue Chronicle," which were unusually big sellers for analog. After gaining experience remixing music by artists from both Japan and abroad, he released his first album "Maintain The Focus," the instrumental collection "Scenes From Life," and his second album "Trace The Roots," all earning him universal praise for his fluent and colorful sound production. As further proof of his popularity, he has also contributed music under the name Smooth Current for Vol. 6 of "Mushroom Jazz," the popular MIX CD by Mark Farina, the face of San Francisco's OM Records. Apart from his solo career, he also works with Shin-Ski and Boston-based talent Insight to form the ShinSight Trio, an international group transcending borders. They made their major debut with Teichiku Records and have released three albums to date. Their popularity doesn't stop in Japan; they have also reached the top of the charts in China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore. Currently reaching audiences across the world, the group has appeared on a major Chinese TV network's special New Year's program and Casio's "Shock the World in Shanghai," as well as expanding into Taiwan by collaborating with Soft Lipa, a prominent figure in the local scene. His activities do not stop with the club scene. He also helps promote the Olympus Linear LS series and has provided music for Pioneer's "Steez." These projects, together with his finely tuned ear and his influence, continue to attract fans.
