  IRIS MONDO is a Japanese alternative rock band that blends digital soundscapes, spoken word, rap, and melodic vocals into a distinctive and emotionally charged sound. Their music moves effortlessly between intensity and delicacy, combining raw emotion, modern loneliness, and cinematic storytelling while transcending traditional genre boundaries. On stage, IRIS MONDO creates immersive performances that are both visually captivating and emotionally liberating, drawing audiences into a world where explosive energy and subtle expression coexist. For their latest releases, the band collaborated with the songwriter behind JO1's hit "Believe In You," the theme song for the blockbuster Japanese film Run for Money. The partnership has further refined IRIS MONDO's songwriting, resulting in an even more polished and powerful sound. Their newest songs pair catchy melodies with deeply personal lyrics that encourage listeners facing life's struggles to move forward with hope and greater self-confidence. IRIS MONDO has steadily expanded its live activities throughout Japan, performing in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Okinawa. In October 2023, the band made its debut at MABOROSHIFES in Okinawa, where they received high praise from artists from South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. This performance led to their first international invitations. The same month, multilingual TikTok videos for "Day.1" surpassed 200,000 views and 10,000 likes. In September 2024, their song "MY SWEET KILLER" exceeded 100,000 views on RED (Xiaohongshu), one of China's largest social media platforms. The following month, IRIS MONDO performed at NATURALVIBE FESTIVAL 2024 in Zhejiang, China, as the festival's only overseas artist. A street performance video later went viral on RED, reaching over 460,000 views and 80,000 likes, helping the band's official RED account grow to more than 33,000 followers. In 2025, IRIS MONDO completed its first Asian tour across Singapore, Bangkok, Tianjin, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Tokyo, building a rapidly growing international audience. The band also appeared at major events across Asia, including ChinaJoy in Shanghai, Park Park Carnival in Taipei, China Festival in Tokyo, and HUSH!! Beach Concerts in Macau. During their second Asian tour, which included Taipei, Seoul, Macau, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, their first headline show in Taipei sold out. In January 2026, IRIS MONDO received the International Special Award at Taiwan's StreetVoice Awards for their song "Soutai Aizo Love Song," further establishing their reputation outside Japan. The band's overseas activities continue to accelerate with confirmed festival appearances in Taiwan and South Korea, along with an upcoming headline tour across approximately 10 cities in Japan and four Asian territories: Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand. With a rapidly expanding international fanbase, a unique artistic vision, and an ever-growing presence across Asia, IRIS MONDO is establishing itself as one of Japan's most exciting next-generation alternative rock acts.
