Welcome Home, Boy

TAREMITSU-DO

In a town not far from where I was born

I wandered aimless, tired and torn

Found an old café on a quiet street

They said the chicken fingers there were sweet

It was past eight, the lights were dim

I ordered cola, wings on a whim

An old man brought it, smiled at me

And softly said, “Welcome home, boy… can’t you see?”

For a breath, I froze in time—

That voice, it pulled me across the line

He was the taco man from my hometown fair

The one who always stood right there

“Welcome home, boy,” he said again

And my heart broke, then healed with pain

He found the man I used to be

And set my drifting soul free

I ordered one more cola to share

“For you, old man,” I said with care

Lifted my glass beneath the moon

And whispered softly, “See you soon.”

    Welcome Home, Boy

    TAREMITSU-DO

Recorded live on a small wooden stage, "Welcome Home, Boy" by TAREMITSU-DO tells a story of reunion after a long journey.
The warmth of acoustic sound fills the room as the wooden walls softly resonate.
Even the air's trembling became part of the music.
A gentle yet aching ballad that wraps nostalgia and solace in the quiet echo of home.
