Chune Liu / Erhu Chune Liu is a Japanese Erhu player recognized for her clear acoustic tone and natural, expressive intonation. To deeply embody the essence of the instrument, she studied at the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China. This rigorous classical training allowed her to master traditional techniques and develop a highly refined pitch, bringing a beautiful, authentic resonance to both live performances and studio recordings. While rooted in tradition, she explores a calming world of sound, blending the elegant voice of the Erhu with contemporary Asian Healing Music, Zen Ambient, and New Age soundscapes. Since 2013, Chune has been a regular performing member of the World Heritage Torch-Run Concert orchestra, led by Missa Johnouchi, the acclaimed Japanese composer and UNESCO Artist for Peace. Her artistry has allowed her to participate in numerous international cultural exchange concerts, performing in major global cultural hubs including Paris, London, Rome, Sicily, Beijing, and Seoul. With a focus on serenity and emotional connection, Chune Liu's music offers a peaceful sanctuary of calm, designed for relaxation, meditation, and quiet reflection.
