Lyric

Gentle idol pop to start your morning.

"Just One Wish", the new single from Asaren Coffee Break, the idol pop duo of Chihaya Amamiya and Maaya Hoshino, is a clear and heartfelt song of gratitude in which Chihaya and Maaya express their appreciation for each other.

In the rush of everyday life, the simple words "thank you" can easily be left unsaid. Throughout the lyrics, the song delivers sincere words of gratitude to someone precious who has quietly lit the path beneath one's feet.

The first verse is a message from Chihaya to Maaya. Chihaya feels warmth, comfort, and the strength to move forward from Maaya, who always supports her in a gentle and natural way. True to Chihaya's book-loving personality, she chooses not rhetoric, but honest and unadorned words, carefully handing her feelings to Maaya.

The second verse is a message from Maaya to Chihaya. Maaya sings that she has learned the importance of each small step by watching Chihaya keep running toward the future with all her heart. As the slightly older member, Maaya softly tells Chihaya, "You don't have to worry. I will always be by your side."

The sound is a light and transparent medium-tempo pop track reminiscent of late-1990s J-Pop. A tight programmed rhythm blends with warm piano and electric piano, while delicate 16th-note hi-hats and shaker patterns create a comfortable sense of speed within the medium tempo.

The chord progression is rooted in the classic sound of F major J-Pop, with the reassuring resolution of C7->F, the gentle bittersweetness of A7->Dm, and the transparency and melancholy brought by Bbmaj7 and Bbm. These elements add a touching afterglow to this bright song of gratitude. Chihaya and Maaya's unison vocals blend naturally, turning their feelings for each other into one shared voice.

No matter how many seasons pass, and no matter how many mornings come when they feel like stopping, Chihaya and Maaya will keep moving forward. When listeners discover the true meaning behind "one single wish", a precious smile of someone important may quietly begin to spread in the hearts of Barista fans as well.
