Born in Kumamoto Prefecture. From an early age, he was exposed to traditional music such as Japanese drums, shamisen, and folk songs. After moving to Tokyo, he created ShamiRock, which is a fusion of the shamisen and ROCK that kamii had been familiar with since childhood, and has been active both domestically and internationally. kamii has performed at the Mine Festival in Germany, the Japan Anime Festival in Spain, and has also recorded his original song Karakuri Meirow overseas.
