"The words of a girl that were never meant to be read by anyone take on a life of their own, moving with sound."
The indie pop unit "Kage-e"-comprising high school student Satori (lyrics and concept), Riyu (vocals, lyrics, and composition), and sound producer Ito-is releasing its third single, "Kakou(Flower Season)"
Centered on the theme of "synesthesia," this track is a crystal-clear ballad. The inner landscape of a girl-viewed through her unique and delicate senses, where she perceives color in sound and temperature and scent in words-is woven together through a beautifully transparent melody and heartfelt vocals.
Daniel Uribe contributes on support guitar. His delicate playing further enhances the song's sense of transparency. It is a track that blends words, sound, and sensation, creating a quiet and deeply immersive experience.
'The words of a girl that were never meant to be read by anyone take on a life of their own, coming alive through sound.' [Kage-e] An indie pop group formed by high school student Satori (lyrics and concept), Riyu (vocals, lyrics, and composition), and producer Ito, who serves as the core of their sound. [Story] The group was formed one day when Riyu came across a notebook. Inside were novels that Satori had been writing with no intention of showing them to anyone, along with numerous delicate and raw words. Riyu discovered overwhelming musical potential in the unspoken emotional fluctuations hidden within them and told Satori, who had been reluctant to step into the spotlight, the following: 'You don't have to stand in the spotlight. Let's make the music a stage that reflects your shadow.'
