Jacob Tanaka, vocalist & guitarist/main songwriter/composer for the four-piece rock band YANUSHI, who handles all instrumentation, vocals, recording, and mixing himself, has completed his first solo work in a year, following the double-album masterpiece "Think yourself, please".
Featuring saxophonist Pueru, the soulful and exhilarating "PINK KELOID" and Featuring Kaori Sakakibara (Lamp) on backing vocals, the album presents the sweetly dreamlike, lyrical tracks "Go or DIE" and "Something in The Air" along with several guest appearances. Furthermore, the artist introduced fresh arrangements centered around piano and classical guitar, alongside synthesizers and programming, adding new dimensions to the 10-track collection. This fifth album packages the most serene and laid-back atmosphere of her career alongside flowing melodies.
A singer-songwriter and home-recording artist who plays many instruments including guitar, bass, drums, and piano on his own, and handles everything from recording and mixing to video production himself. He began creating music during his student days and has consistently released his work primarily on SoundCloud and YouTube, continuing his musical activities at his own pace ever since. In 2018, he released his first album, "A Knife in the Hot Water", on "TONOFON" a label headed by Shugo Tokumaru. Since 2020, he has been consistently releasing works through NEWFOLK. His deep love for and knowledge of rock and popular music, cultivated since childhood his unique, masterful playing skills honed single-mindedly as a guitar kid and his natural sense of melody and exceptional songwriting have earned him widespread acclaim across all generations. In addition to his solo work, he is active as a session guitarist and as the vocalist and guitarist for the four-piece rock band "YANUSHI".
