ブラウンアイド・ソウルをテーマに自身のルーツにあるソウルミュージックの要素をより色濃く押し出したNEWアルバム「Water and Seeds」。先行リリースした「Midnight Train」「Dawn」「SUPERNOVA」「Grateful Days」を含む全9曲を収録。様々なジャンルへと派生したソウルミュージックのニュアンスを追求した楽曲はノスタルジックなだけでなく、現代的なサウンドに仕上がっている。サウンドプロデュースには、“さかいゆう”、”Kenta Dedachi” などの楽曲を手掛ける日系ブラジル人プロデューサーRenato Iwai、 “Galileo Galilei”のバンドメンバーで映像クリエーターとしても人気の岩井郁人、Murakami Keisukeの代表曲「Nothing But You」以来、久しぶりにタッグを組んだシンガーソングライターのMichael Kanekoらが参加している。英語と日本語のハイブリッドな歌詞とPOPなメロディーセンスで描かれた世界観は、グローバルな音楽性を示す作品となった
