Our Beloved Okinawa

Wearing a kariyushi shirt, raising island awamori for a toast Nagomi cheerful celebration of Okinawa daily life, festivities, delicious food, and warm bonds between people. From Niibi (weddings) to Kajimayaa (97th birthday celebrations), hearts dancing to the sound of sanshin. Umi-budō seaweed, rafutē pork, sātā-andagī donuts, and island salt. From Kunigami to Nakagami, Shimajiri, Yaeyama to Miyako beautiful islands surrounded by coral, blessed with abundant harvests. With the spirit of ichariba chōdē (once we meet, we are family) and yuimaaru (mutual aid), joining hands, singing and dancing. BBQ with beer in hand, drinking turmeric with awamori, toasting until the night grows late. This is Washita Okinawa an ode to the beloved island.
