Artist Profile

  • Shin Hioki

    A singer-songwriter and pianist from Nara, Japan. Ambassador of Nara City. He met ballet at the age of ten and spent junior high school days for ballet. In 2005, received the Encouragement Award at the AICD International Ballet Competition.
 From high school, he started his music activity with the club. In 2006, he became the champion at Nara tournament of NHK's amateur singer competition "Nodo-Jiman". After dropping out University, started professional activities in Osaka and Tokyo. And also, became a director of a non-profit organization engaged in the preservation of wood used for musical instrument production. Also had tours in the Philippines with orchestra, and traveled around Japan with street-live. After that, he moved to his hometown of Nara from 2016.
 Tie-up with local media and shopping streets, produce Yuru-chara "Piyockey", make a lot of special events of Made in Nara", and other activities are rooted in the community. Every spring, he hold one-man concert" at Nara Prefecture's largest hall, Nara Centennial Hall.
