Before sound is born, there is always silence.
In that silence, something exists, something that has yet to take shape or become words, a presence that fills the space before the beginning.
"Welcome home" begins in the moment just before return;
when the air softens, and a quiet stillness settles in. Each note of the
piano resonates like a voice of nature, a heartbeat of the earth and a
quiet echo of something long asleep within us.
"Soft Return" music that gently retunes the connection between the
world and the self. May it offer a gentle moment where the listener can
come home to themselves, and let heart and body find harmony once
again.

Mika Kawada
河田美香（かわだ みか） 作曲家・即興ピアニスト。 一音一音を紡ぎ、言葉のように自由に表現するピアニスト。詩的な風景や郷愁を感じさせるノスタルジックな音楽を通して、聴く人の記憶や感情に静かに触れる演奏を行う。 繊細で透明感のあるピアノの響きを生かし、環境音や映像と調和するサウンドアプローチを展開。 日本歌曲や童謡のアレンジも手がけている。 3歳よりピアノを始める。 高校で声楽、大学でオペラを学び、在学中にイタリアへ留学。 卒業後はメジャーアーティストのボイストレーナーを務めたのち、即興ピアニストとしての活動を本格化。 瀬戸内国際芸術祭（直島）での演奏をはじめ、映像・アート作品とのコラボレーションなど、空間と響きの関係性を軸とした活動を展開。 国立新美術館「ブルガリ カレイドス 色彩・文化・技巧（BVLGARI KALEIDOS: COLORS, CULTURES AND CRAFTS）」への参加、英国大使館観桜会レセプションでの演奏など、国内外の文化的空間において演奏・音楽表現を行っている。 NHK BS-1ドキュメンタリー「チベット・遥かな心の旅」の音楽を担当（ATP賞優秀賞受賞作品）。 同作品の長編映画『Daughter of the Light』は韓国EBS国際ドキュメンタリー映画祭にて上映され、Audience Award（観客賞）を受賞。さらに中国の金鶏百花映画祭にて上映されるなど、国際的な評価を得ている。
