Nape, a rock band from Tokyo, was formed by Wataru (Vo. & Dr.) and Issei (Gt.), who have been classmates since middle school. During their school days, they showcased their talents early on by headlining school music festivals and cultural festivals, winning gold prizes. In May 2024, they released their 1st single, "Sentiments," and began full-fledged activities. Their musical style is influenced by a wide range of genres, including rock, punk, pop, hip-hop, and Motown. Their unique sound is characterized by a combination of pop and catchy melodies, blood-pumping guitar solos, and robust drum play. Wataru and Issei are responsible for the songwriting and composition. Their songs, which combine catchy melodies with skillful rhythmic arrangements, continue to captivate audiences at live performances. Wataru, who serves as both the drummer and lead vocalist, brings a powerful drum sound and a delicate, gentlemanly vocal style that has become a significant attraction for the band.
