Found a letter while cleaning my shelf
Faces from the past, memories of someone else
Lovers and friends, the good times we shared
Joy and laughter, moments we cared
Hope and fear for the future collide in the night
What kind of encounters await in the light?
Sometimes I feel like I’m alone in the dark
But deep in my heart, I believe in a spark
Hope and fear
Future's near
Dreaming, wishing, hoping, missing, rising
Dark to bright
Friends with their kids, smiles wide, no lies
Left Tokyo behind, living under new skies
Different paths taken, finding their bliss
I'll carve out my story, no moment to miss
Memories fade, but dreams remain
Through joy and pain, we all sustain
New faces, new places, love on the rise
Step by step, we reach for the skies
Hope and fear
Future's near
Dreaming, wishing, Hoping, missing, rising
Dark to bright
Hope and fear
Future's near
Dreaming, wishing, Hoping, missing, rising
Dark to bright

PAPILLON
Let us find hope for the future while easing our hearts with memories.
This song is filled with such wishes.
There are days in the future that are as wonderful as the memories of old friends and lovers. This song expresses that wonderful time is actually seamlessly connected from the past to the future.
It was created with a simple structure, with acoustic guitar and vocals as the main components. The harmony of the chorus adds depth and comfort to the song.

PAPILLON
We'll definitely take the stage at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. PAPILLON is a music project led by Hideaki Kazeno. The impulsive power of UK rock, the universal catchiness of J-pop, and the sophisticated grooves of R&B. By blending these elements in a unique balance, they create a one-of-a-kind soundscape where the atmosphere of the city coexists with the liberating feeling of nature. The project name PAPILLON (butterfly) symbolizes a trippy sensation that liberates the listener's heart from the hustle and bustle of daily life and its constraints, allowing them to rediscover their true selves. Armed with emotional melodies and lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners, the group is actively working to leave a striking mark on the indie scene.
