I'm currently based in the United States, working to share Japanese music and culture with the world.
Ever since I started the FREEDOM festival on Awaji Island, I've felt a growing desire to learn more about Japan - and I've come to love my country even more.
This song was created together with hip-hop artist T-STONE, inspired by a wish to spread two kinds of "UZU" across the world: the swirling whirlpools of Japan, and a wave of positive energy.
The festival sounds are brought to life by TAKARABUNE, a group of performers dedicated to sharing the spirit of Awa Odori with the world.
Feel the powerful drums, the spirited chants, and all the energy we've poured into this song.
