In 2002, the guitar trio "Image of Hawaii" was formed with two slack-key guitars and a gut guitar, inspired by arrangements of Hawaiian music for a video production of the Big Island of Hawaii.
The unit consists of three guitarists, Seiji Omotani, Noboru Matsumoto, and Yasuhisa Murase. This is their memorable debut mini album. The three acoustic guitars all play with a slack key, which is a traditional Hawaiian tuning technique, create a pleasant sound mainly with original songs.
