TOKYO seen from abroad, TOKYO seen from the countryside of Japan... Tokyo imagined from the outside world is somehow filtered by aspirations and fantasies, and it may be a little different from the actual city. In fact, I was also born and raised in my hometown of Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, and until I moved to Tokyo at the age of 19, I was delusional about Tokyo from the outside. In this work, I wanted to draw such a fantastic Tokyo with city pop. We hope that you will immerse yourself in the nostalgic yet new, fascinating world of TOKYO produced by Toru Horasawa of The Bookmarcs.
I would be happy if it became a new Tokyo theme song that tourists heading to Tokyo would sing along to.
