Anyango, the world's first female player of the Nyatiti, a traditional instrument of the Luo people of Kenya.
This is the ninth album by Anyango, who has performed widely, not only in Japan, but also in Africa and Europe.
The album covers a wide range of music, including South African diva Miriam Makeba, Kenyan and Senegalese love songs, the classic "My Favorite Things" from the movie "The Sound of Music," and Sizuko Kasagi, the Queen of Boogie. In addition, some new original songs in Japanese for world peace are also included.
Anyango is the world's first female nyatiti player. She is also the Japan-Kenya cultural goodwill ambassador.
