Usher, Michael Jackson, Boyz2Men, Eric Benetなどに影響を強く受けたMASAYAHは、ブラックミュージックを学びにニューヨークへと単身、音楽修行に出た。 エリートボーカルトレーナーからボーカルスキルを学び、ニューヨークのマンハッタンで行なわれた小さなコンテストで優勝した。 そしてUsher, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, 久保田利伸や宇多田ヒカルなどのプロデューサーBertPrice氏の目に止まり、黒人の町ハーレムにあるスタジオで数々の黒人ミュージシャンとセッションを繰り返し、スキルを磨いた。 デモを聞いたグラミー賞受賞者のSadeにお墨付きをもらったMASAYAHはLAへ移住し、ハリウッドで業界トップクラスのボイストレーナーに従事し、多くのグラミー受賞ミュージシャンとLAで制作を行ない、アメリカのメジャーレーベルだけでなく、日本の各メジャーレコード会社からもMASAYAHに注目が集まったが、スポンサーとの衝突によりプロジェクトは白紙に。 その後フリーとなり作詞、作曲から、コーラスアレンジなどを自身で行ない、独自の製作陣でアーティスト活動を行っている。その後、メジャー業界からインディーズまで幅広く仕事を広げ、プロデュースや才能発掘を行なっている。 そして、アメリカで習得してきた発声法を多くの日本のミュージシャンにも伝承したいという思いでプロ、アマ問わずこれまで多くの人に歌の指導を行ない、自身のスクールのレッスンを受けにくる生徒が後を絶たない。指導してきた人の中には、現在テレビやラジオでレギュラーを持つメジャーアーティストやモデル、俳優など芸能関係者も多い。 2014年に日テレで放送された「歌唱王」に出場。全国約13000人の中から勝ち抜き、ファイナリストとなり話題になる。日テレの番組「キャラオケ18番」に『洋楽歌唱法のスペシャリスト』として幾度にわたり出演。これまで、司会のNEWS小山慶一郎を筆頭に、アナウンサー高橋真麻や、ざわちん、林家たい平などに番組内で歌唱指導を行なって注目を集めた。2015年には、TBS「Sing!Sing!Sing!」他薦部門にて推薦され出演。審査員らに高い評価を受けた。日テレ「歌唱王2015」にも出場し、約25000通のエントリーから20人に選ばれ、本戦出場。 その後、ボーカルカウンセラーとしてさまざまなTV番組に出演しながら、自身のYouTubeチャンネルで活動を開始し、１年で7万人の登録者を集める。
