ntroducing a new talent from the outskirts of Tokyo.

They are an avant-garde jazz group with unparalleled precision. However, their stage is strictly confined to a single room specifically, inside my Mac. "They" are not human; they are generative sequencers.

The Bedroom Jazz Ensemble is a project where I minimize my own ego and focus entirely on "producing" their performance.

What is the difference between generative sequencers and AI-generated music? It comes down to learning. Unlike AI, which relies on analyzing existing music, generative sequencers learn absolutely nothing. They are like untamed beast sunleashing chaotic scales one second, only to fall into a sudden, deep silence the next.

My role is to tame these beasts by carefully adjusting the parameters. This raw, unpredictable process creates a unique form of music that I firmly believe modern generative AI could never replicate.

This is the first release of our ongoing mini-album series. Please enjoy the untamed sounds of the ensemble.

Tokyo-based electronic artist who debuted at the age of 56. After experiencing the 90s techno scene as a DJ and working in a record shop, he began producing his own music in 2025 at the age of 56. Under the name "Ash Room," he visualizes the silence isolated from the noise of society and the emotions settling within. His style traverses Dub Techno, Glitch, Ambient, and experimental Electronica. Constructed in high-resolution , his sound is a device for "immersion," derived from decades of listening experience and an audiophile's perspective. Electronic music for mature listeners, accompanying the solitude from midnight to dawn.
