• umikaze

  Formed in September 2025, Umikaze is a five-piece band based in Koenji, Tokyo. Since their formation, the band has drawn attention primarily through social media. In May 2026, they released their first EP, "Watashi no Yume wo Miteite ne". Their first self-produced event sold out, and since the EP's release, their CDs have repeatedly sold out, marking a steady expansion of their activities. The band's songwriting is primarily led by guitarist and vocalist Daiki, while incorporating arrangements and compositions from each member. Daiki also handles the band's artwork and design. Centered around male and female twin vocals, Umikaze's music takes on a different character from song to song. Rooted in shoegaze and dream pop, their sound is built around guitars and pop music while remaining unconstrained by genre, as they continue to explore and pursue a sound of their own.
