【楽曲解説】
「回る光の中で 美しさは全てのものに与えられていた」 「嘘と偽りは消えることがなく 高い防壁を築いていく」 「ただの悪戯さ 刃物を持った男が言う」 （歌詞より抜粋）
絶えない争い、政治や権力の腐敗。そして、本格的なAI時代の到来を目前に控え、目に見えない不安が渦巻く現代。私たちは今、あらゆる局面で「見えない巨大な敵」との対峙を迫られています。
本作は、古代（縄文時代）の日本をはじめとする環太平洋の平穏な世界への憧憬から産声をあげました。それは同時に、私が崇敬してやまない手塚治虫先生のライフワーク『火の鳥』において、ついに描かれることのなかった幻のエピソード「現代編」への、私なりの想像でありオマージュでもあります。
混迷を極める現代において「AI時代における、新たなる人間性の確保」とは何か。この壮大な問いを胸に、世界へ一筋の明るい価値を投げかけるべく、この楽曲は存在しています。
【アーティスト・ノート】
1990年10月に初めて着想を得てから、約36年。1991年に原曲が形を成し、1996年に歌詞が誕生しました。宅録（DTM）から始まり、90年代後半にはバンドでの演奏を経て、一時は絵画やデザイン、映像制作を学ぶための長い休止期間へ。しかし2019年、再びDTMの前に立ち、この楽曲の「完成形」を模索する旅を再開しました。
時代を超え、姿を変えながら紡がれ続けるこの曲は、私にとってまさに、終わりなき『火の鳥』のように「永遠に続いていく何か」「永遠なるものの領域」そのものなのです。
