MALLOW's debut album, "Amayadori (Rain Shelter)," centers on everyday life.
Built from live, one-take recordings of two voices and guitar-without a click-each track was
later enriched by musician friends adding cajón and bass. The result is a warm, home-studio
sound that feels intimate and real.
Like its title suggests, the album gently captures both the busyness of daily life and the quiet
moments of rest in between-stories of ordinary people, drawn close to the rhythms of the
everyday.

MALLOW
MALLOW is a Tokyo & Yamanashi based music duo formed by Masaya Makino and Laura Yokozawa in 2026. Two voices moving like conversation with an acoustic guitars, blending elements of jazz, folk, and Japanese pop, their music features intertwined vocal lines and delicate arrangements, creating a sound that feels both intimate and cinematic. Their songs explore everyday life ,food, small emotions, and quiet connections between people, capturing moments that are often overlooked but deeply human. Both members are active as solo artists and collaborators, bringing diverse musical backgrounds into the project. Makino is also a member of Hei Tanaka and GUIRO; Yokozawa is a member of onomatopel. MALLOW will release their debut album in May 2026.
