This song is dedicated to Mount Shinobu, a beloved landmark located in the heart of Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.
Although Mount Shinobu has long been a symbol of the city, it never had an official theme song-until now. Mizuki Noah has created the first piece to musically portray the scenery and spirit of this cherished mountain.
Mizuki Noah lived at the foot of Mount Shinobu from birth until the age of eighteen. She attended Fukushima Daiyon Junior High School, located halfway up the mountain, and spent her childhood growing up alongside its changing landscapes. Mount Shinobu is deeply woven into her personal history and memories.
Japan is known for its four distinct seasons, and this song reflects Mount Shinobu through spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each verse paints a vivid picture of the mountain's seasonal beauty and the lives of the people connected to it, forming a four-verse composition that follows the rhythm of the year.
Born in Fukushima Prefecture, which suffered significant damage during the Great East Japan Earthquake, Mizuki Noah has continued to perform this song outside the prefecture since the disaster, sharing the beauty and spirit of Mount Shinobu with wider audiences.
