Artist Profile

  • Riot Blue

A youth dedicated to my body (me), my music (me), and my future (me). Riot Blue was a music artist team formed by three members Shiki, Ura Mao, and Amane Akashi who "travel between the virtual and real worlds." Starting their activities on December 1, 2022, they operated under the premise of being "VTubers" while also holding live performances in physical venues. Their goal was to perform at the Budokan, creating and playing their own music, in addition to providing vocals. Starting with their first live performance on December 24, 2022, they held an unprecedented four solo concerts for VTubers in 2023, including solo shows for each member. Their 1st EP, Ao no Kakera, which was successfully funded via a crowdfunding campaign launched on October 26, 2023, was released on April 29, 2024. All tracks on the EP were written and composed by the members themselves. Riot Blue concluded their three years of activity and went on an indefinite hiatus at the end of December 2024. Regarding the members' subsequent activities: Shiki is taking a hiatus; Ura Mao is debuting as a solo artist on January 1, 2025; and Amane Akashi has inherited the spirit of Riot Blue as the owner of the music label "Riot Blue Records." She will be producing Ura Mao and organizing numerous live events, including the Vmusician festival "RIOT BLUE FESTIVAL." Amane Akashi will cease her own artist activities after her final live performance on December 28, 2025.
