Mimyo

Led by DJ KENSEI, one of Japan's top DJs who creates original sound spaces with his diverse music selection and sound control, and GoRo the Vibratian, a vibrational artist who plays didgeridoo, kalimba, mouth harp, flute, hand pan, percussion, and other instruments of his own making, unleashes a miraculous new album of Final Drop "Mimyo" after 20 years of absence.

Back In 2002, DJ KENSEI, GoRo the Vibratian, Kaoru Inoue, and KND, who are all currently active as solo artists/DJs, a musician, and a sound engineer, conducted a field recording in Yakushima Island, one of the UNESCO Natural World Heritage sites.

In 2023, DJ KENSEI and GoRo the Vibratian re-listened to a huge archive of unused sound materials (DAT tapes) that were recorded during this field recording trip to Yakushima Island.

KENSEI and GoRo converted them into data, edited, re-constructed, and re-touched them all, and then conducted further recording sessions. Final Drop's new album "Mimyo" is a work of the utmost musicianship, and it is a soundscape very unique to the Final Drop.
