I wanna be rich is an 8-track EP driven by the hunger for money, the desire to reclaim lost time, and the determination to move forward after a life-changing injury.
For this project, Sweetie takes a new approach to recording, creating every track through punch-ins without writing lyrics beforehand. From recording to mixing and mastering, the entire process was handled independently, capturing a more instinctive and unfiltered form of expression.
While different in sound and approach from the ALIVE TAPE series, this EP brings a stronger sense of cohesion, connecting eight tracks into one complete body of work. The project also features a guest appearance from his close collaborator and partner, Kidney Fuji.
It's about more than just getting money. It's about making up for lost time, overcoming setbacks, and taking back control of your own life.
I wanna be rich a reflection of ambition, resilience, and the hunger to win.
