Journey to the Center of the Earth

Artist Yuguen will release their first vocal single in about six months, "Journey to the Center of the Earth" on Friday, November 14, 2025. From composition and performance to recording, mixing, and mastering, Yuguen handled the entire production. The song was inspired by the French science fiction writer Jules Verne's novel Journey to the Center of the Earth, a book that Yuguen was fascinated by during their middle school years. Imagining "what if this story had been adapted into an anime set in 1980s Japan," the track captures the blend of excitement and unease that accompanies a descent into the underground world, expressed through a sound that feels both nostalgic and new.
