From Central Cartel, a label based in central Kawasaki, comes the fourth installment of their monthly release series: "Closet Recording," a new single by rapper JiLL and beatmaker Mill1.

This track focuses on JiLL's early days as a rapper, before he signed with Central Cartel-the days when he recorded in a dark closet. He was laughed at, and his plays were in the single digits. But he persevered, and that dedication led him to where he is today.

Now, he's signed with a label and stands in the studio, and this song chronicles that journey in its rawest form. Mill1's emotional Drill beat further enhances JiLL's soulful rap.

This is just the beginning.

This is a firm declaration of determination from a young gun who has decided to carry the Central Cartel banner.

    JILL, a native of Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City, was born on September 4th, 2004. He dropped out of high school to start music, then travelled abroad for two years before returning and sending demo tracks to DJ SPACE KID, where he began studio sessions. His skills were also discovered by DJ DIAMOND NUTZ (BIG BLAZE WILDERS), and he began full-scale activities in 2024 with the mixtape "Baggage From Nowhere," produced in a new production environment. His single "Hashigo," which was released as one of the first in Japan to adopt Sexy Drill, is currently being distributed. A newcomer from northside Kawasaki

    Originally from Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City, he is a member of Central Cartel. At the tender age of 17, he contributed a track to JiLL and DJ SPACE KID's mixtape "Baggage From Nowhere," and his track "20" caught the eye of KOWICHI, earning him great acclaim. He also produced IFE -Waruiko-, and the remix of their seventh track is currently a hot topic, having been played over 7 million times. He is a cutting-edge producer from Kawasaki, currently 19 years old.
