アーティスト情報
MosMutes
ボーカルのMimiとSonia、そしてコンポーザーのKTにより構成されています。 バンドという形態ではなくあくまでコンセプチュアルな「音楽グループ」であるとしている大きな理由ひとつは、その音楽性にあります。 ブラジル音楽（MBP）からの影響を軸として邦楽ロック、大衆音楽へのリスペクトを明示しつつも、一方ではジャンルにとらわれない新しいロックを表現することを目的にグループは結成されました。 そのためにはスタジオ制作における制限を気にせず楽曲制作を行う必要があり、例えば実験的な試みをギミックとして施したり、大規模なオーケストラサウンドを起用するなどライブでは再現が困難な音楽性も表現できる活動環境とコンセプトが必要でした。かつてのザ・ビートルズがそうであったように。 また、もうひとつの理由としては、時代があります。 それは昨今のクリエイターエコノミーへの実験的な想定回答として、最小規模で音楽活動を行うことへのチャレンジでもあります。 音楽活動における最小限必要な音源制作ではコンポーズやサウンドクリエイトをすべてKTが行い、歌唱はコーラスも含めてMimiとSoniaの二人で行うというコンセプトです。 それは、ビジュアルやデザイン、MV制作などもすべてグループのみで行うことで、その実証をマスに提示できれば面白い、という遊び心でもあります。 しかし、音楽性の理念ともいうべき条件に「ポップでキャッチーであること」を絶対としており、その結果「美しくも変態的で、ポップでサイケにロックする」という雑食系の極みみたいなグループのキャッチコピーを掲げることになりました。それが、MosMutesというグループです。
