It feels like a distant memory now-those early days when I first started writing music. Fueled by youth, I threw myself into forming bands and playing original songs, often neglecting work in the process.
We kept failing auditions sponsored by a certain instrument company, and each time, we'd form a new band only to break up again. Now that I've reached an age where I can look back fondly, those moments have become cherished memories. It was the height of Japan's bubble economy-a time when we were carefree, fearless, and maybe even a little reckless.
These are the songs I created during that era. I've chosen to leave them here as a record, simply because I still love them. Some were written with friends from my hometown, others with bandmates I met after moving to a new city. I sang every one of them myself at least once, which perhaps adds to the emotional connection I feel.
It's a nostalgic glimpse into the 1980s. Not a "best of," not a complete collection-but let's call it an archive, for what it's worth.
