Chouchouの活動10周年を記念して同時リリースされた3枚のアルバム、The Best of Chouchou [2007-2017]シリーズはChouchouの2007年から2017年までの10年間にリリースされた全119曲の中から、ファン投票を主軸に厳選されたChouchouの初期から現在を代表する楽曲で綴られた珠玉のベストアルバム。
その第三章となる本作品『III Crystal』ではChouchouの「静」の部分をテーマに、優しく透き通るようなピアノやボーカルをメインとした繊細な曲たちが、限りなく透明で美しい音の世界を描き出す。

arabesqueにより全収録曲にリマスタリング(2018 Remastered)が施され、場合によってはミックスや打ち込みからも見直したことにより音場の広がりや音像の明確さの点からも新しく生まれ変わっている楽曲もあり、10年というChouchouの活動の歴史を紐解くのに十分な聴きごたえのある内容となっている。
