Miki Hyodo made her debut as a singer-songwriter in 1977 and released two albums. Her forward-looking lyrics attracted considerable attention, and throughout the 1980s she mainly worked as a lyricist, providing songs for various artists.
Following the digital release of her new song "Into the Fake Night" in 2022, she resumed her musical activities and released her third album, "Tokyo Memento Mori", on May 30, 2026.
Centered once again on original songs featuring her uniquely innovative lyrics, the album showcases performances by outstanding jazz musicians including Mayuko Katakura, Gene Jackson, Takumi Awaya, Nao Takeuchi, and Takayoshi Baba, allowing listeners to experience a new chapter in her distinctive musical world for the first time in decades.
The album was produced by her husband, Yoshihide Maeda.

    Miki Hyodo debuted as a singer-songwriter with her 1st album 'ONE PARADISE' in 1977 and released her second album 'Miki Hyod' in 1979. She has continued her activity mainly as a lyricist for various artists such as Tika Takami and etc. Tower Records Japan released CD version of her two albums in 2015. In 2022 her new original song 'Into The Fake Night' has been released digitally. In 2026 her 3rd album 'TOKYO MEMENTO// MORI' is released and mainly consist of original songs featuring top-tier jazz musicians.
