Autumn wanders in the forest

As if lost, without direction

The leaves float like forgotten songs

The trees bow, press their branches

Carry the weight of the years

The lake swallows the last rays of the day

But the warmth does not yet subside

Autumn, chained to the heat

The falling of the leaves remains in the sky

We wait for a cool breath

The sun still tightens its grip

And autumn lingers under it like a forgotten hymn

The leaves fall slowly

But they do not yet fall to the ground

The sun envelops everything in its warmth

Every hum of the wind disappears far away

The earth sighs heavily

And autumn walks imprisoned in its warmth

Perhaps tomorrow it will find a way

But even now it lingers
