The Land

Echoscape

You

Left

Your land

For good

Sailing across the sea

To see what your life could be

Five

Years

Of life

In a new city

You lost touch with everyone

Your past faded into oblivion

Honor the history of your clan

I know that you’ve always been loyal to your plan

The windmill is swirling, it’s your momentum to the northwest

The wind chill you felt, was it colder than the home you left?

Jump

Off the boat

While it’s floating

Before it starts sinking

Off to the new landscape

Opportunities filled up the space

Talk

From deep in your heart

While it’s beating

Might as well stop thinking

Love was your driving force

Why did you stop surviving the storm?

Honor the history of your clan

I know that you’ve always been loyal to your plan

The windmill is swirling, it’s your momentum to the northwest

The wind chill you felt, was it colder than the home you left?

I was stuck

And I was struck in Siberia

The scar on my left ear left my late years in hysteria

I was drafted when I was seventeen

The government’s grand scheme

I never recognized it as a crime scene

I was in love with the big machine

The eulogy was all deceptive

I was misled like every other sheep

I was embedded in the collective

Thus, I had no self-esteem

I wish I had a choice

I wish I could press the button and restart

Decisively self-destructive, everything was falling apart

I don’t know what you’ve been through

But my father moved to see you

Just wanted to reach you

Only to be blown away by the time bomb

My memory went pitch black, forced labor with no union

I don’t know about you, but I made it back

It was a family reunion

The promised land for 30 million people, hand in hand, all created equal

The vast majority in reality faced inequality

We still live in the sequel

Together we created this utopia

For some of you, it was a dystopia

All the lies in the imperial era were buried in the land of Manchuria

You

Left

Your land

For good

Sailing across the sea

To see what your life could be

Twelve

Years

Of life

In a new city

You lost touch with everyone

Your past faded into oblivion

On this five-track EP, Echoscape, the math rock project led by Satoshi Inoue, moves between precision and restraint. Interlocking guitar lines form asymmetrical patterns, leaving space for quieter melodic fragments to emerge. English and Japanese lyrics appear less as narrative anchors than as subtle textures, as the songs trace small emotional contours shaped by both math rock intricacy and indie folk intimacy.
