Artist Profile

  • SAO

An office worker who also works freelance as a model and actress. On July 25, 2025, SAO's post on X (formerly Twitter) went viral worldwide, drawing reactions from Elon Musk and global media. SAO's image became such a sensation that it was featured as the introduction image for the official X app. SAO's account garnered over 200 million views from approximately 60 countries. Secondary creations using her likeness flooded the internet daily as memes, and thousands of comments began pouring from all over the world. On Friday, August 29th, she released her first solo song, OHAYO, as an answer to the global comments she received. The music video surpassed 3 million views and received over 3,000 comments from around the world. Within OHAYO, SAO's emotional journey after her life suddenly changed in just one month, along with her responses to the global comments and memes, are expressed in English. The track was produced by WAZGOGG (DJ WA-TA), who has also worked on songs by SKRYU and Fuma no KTR. The MV released on YouTube was filmed using the smartphone apps SAO uses daily, featuring actual anti-comments and internet memes as part of the production. Just one month after the song's release, SAO appeared as a special guest at L.A. Comic Con in Los Angeles, performing the song live for the first time.
