A voice I didn’t know, echoing so blurred and low

"I can't find the way back home..."

Deep inside the ancient woods, where the darkness lies

Every signpost faded out, hidden from my eyes

"This way," a whisper called, beckoning me near

But when I turned to look, no one was there to fear

Neither light nor wind will move, frozen in the air

Only voices whispering, coming from nowhere

"Help me," was the plea I heard, shivering and small

Stepping deep into the peaks, climbing up so high

Since when was I unable to say a last goodbye?

"You can never go back now," a voice began to play

Laughing right beside me, taking me away

Footprints in the mountain soil, growing one by one

Though I’m walking all alone, the counting has begun

The ringing of a silver bell, a sudden, chilly gust

The rustling of the forest leaves, turning into dust

A tiny hand reached out to me, brushing past my skin
