Takuro（Vo, Rap）と812（Track Maker）によるユニット・YOWAME。YouTubeに寄せられるリスナーからのリアルな問いに対し、二人の対話を経て即興で約1分の楽曲へと落とし込む濃密な制作スタイルから生まれた、全13曲入りのコンセプトアルバムが完成した。
本作で描かれるのは、美化されたサクセスストーリーではない。メジャーデビューによる環境の激変とタイアップの重圧、SNS時代の数字買いやバズ競争への違和感、さらには「バンドマンの財布の軽さ」や内輪のマウント劇まで、シーンの当事者だからこそ語り得る赤裸々な本音と業界の構造が生々しく描き出されている。
812が編み出すタイトかつ躍動感あふれるトラックの上で、Takuroの言葉はユーモアと皮肉を交えながらも、最後には表現者としての気骨へと着地する。冷笑にとどまらず、「歩いた道だけ強さになんだ」と泥臭い歩みを肯定する姿勢は、音楽業界の内情を知るリスナーのみならず、現代社会で葛藤しながら戦うすべての表現者・リスナーの胸を激しく揺さぶる。

YOWAME is a rap duo that transforms questions sent to the YouTube channel The World Only Bandmen Know into original tracks. They have set an ambitious goal of releasing 150 songs a year, which means dropping a full-length album every single month. They are a completely fresh alternative rap outfit that drags the inconvenient truths of the music industry and the raw, gritty reality of bandmen daily life and finances, secrets long buried by both the Japanese indie and major scenes, right out into the open with sharp, cutting raps and highly addictive riffs. Armed with the lyrical prowess of Takuro (Vo, Rap), whose storytelling talent is so profound his novel was adapted into a movie, and the sonic craft of soundtrack composer 812 (Track Maker), the duo keeps up the fight on their main battleground, YouTube, dropping content every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
