Lyric

a walk

DIN REMOTER

Heat of day time lingered about

Wrinkles on sand moving in wind

Where we were going after

What did we do there after

What did we find there after

Which way we've chosen after

She had that blue stone, hung at her chest

She had all her crystals, buried in sore heart

We walked through the sands, rock striking waves

We had a long walk seemed to have no end

Heaped up stones at the water's edge

A puddle, a mirror, emerald gold

Where we were going after

We tried to go there after

We never got there after

Again we could never find

And we walked with bare feet feeling the sand squeak

It sounded like coming out deep from her

She said we were taking a long trip together

And handed in my palm

Her blue little stone

All purple around

Still I felt

The lingering heat of that fierce day time
