• Second Layer

  Second Layer is a project born as an alternative line and interpretation developed by miuzic Entertainment, a music label curated by Kaoru Kondo. Starting from songs originally released by idol groups and artists, Second Layer reimagines these works through different perspectives, temperatures, and structures, presenting a parallel layer of music that exists alongside the original releases. Free from genre or format constraints, the project explores a wide range of approaches including jazz, background music, and reinterpretative arrangements, shedding light on sounds that never surfaced in the foreground of the song and on the quiet spaces hidden within its structure. Second Layer is not a replacement for the original works, but a presence that runs in parallel with them. Through this ongoing process, Second Layer gently and three-dimensionally expands the world of miuzic Entertainment.
